I spent Friday evening with

cressida42 and her best friend R at R's house. We played a little Buffy The Vampire Slayer Collectable Card Game. At the same time R and Cressida42 were working on a dress for R for the room party she will be working at Convergence this year. She will be wearing a waitress dress that needed some alterations. Cressida worked on some of it, R worked on the rest and I ended up being the dress dummy for the evening. It was when I was standing in the kitchen while Cressida was checking seam that I realize that this was a girls night. I crashed around midnight but R and Cressid sewed until two in the morning.

Saturday We all had breakfast at the Cracker Barrel. I had a nice reuben for lunch. It's been a long time since I've had one and I missed them. R headed off to Wisconsin and Cressida and I had errands.

One errand was to the Hertical wireless phone store. Cressida and I are sharing phone service. She's with Hertical and I used to be with Q-portable. Both of us are at the end of our contracts and thought it would be cheaper if we consolidated services and got better phones. I was more intimidated at the technology then the commitment with her. Now I have a phone that has more memory then the computer I had in high school. It also came with blue tooth so I can walk around and talk to myself without people looking at me.

Saturday evening we watched a couple of Doctor Who and House. Since Cressida42 was starting to doze off I took the opportunity to watch The Seventh Seal. It's a dry artsy fartsy Swedish film about the middle ages. A knight comes back from the crusades only to discover his village is struck by the black plague. He questions God and tries to find meaning in his life. There are parts of it that are actually pretty funny. I saw it along time ago and forgotten the quality of the film and the black humor.

Sunday we took Mom to Gigi's for coffee and lunch. My brother asked me to help him with his air conditioners but he didn't answer his phone when I called to see if he was in so I took a nap and then whipped up a batch of gazpacho.
