So mom's place is hosting a trip to the Uptown theater to see 2012. I'm not sure that her crowd would appreciate an end of the world scenario. I also noted that it's labeled as an Apocalyptic Science Thriller. I don't see a lot of science in the adds for the movie. I may be wrong.

Mom is recovering from knee surgery which should help her walk a little. She's suppose to be wearing a brace but doesn't like it.

I took a nice seven mile walk before the game. It didn't hurt my game that much 108,114, and 151. We won one game and had most pins, four and four.

As a part of customer service appreciation week we were invited to dress in western clothes. Monday it was candy. Tuesday is was a "Grandslam" breakfast of juice and a muffin. Yesterday we actually got some nice sandwiches from Divani's. Tomorrow we get "root'n-toot'n" floats. It feels very Junior high and a little patronizing to me.

I'm wearing my western duds right now. I don't need an excuse to make an ass of myself. Someone pointed out that I was wearing sneakers and said I looked like Marty McFly from Back to The Future which is really funny because I'm also wearing the Doctor Who Pocket watch cressida42 gave me.

I'm one a them future cowboys.

Because our gaming session fell through I decided to walk to the bowling alley. I cut it a little close and got in just as they stopped the practice rolls.

Even with the great prebowls from the team we only won the last game. I bowled 102,110, and 95. At least I averaged over 100.

The other team who normally does pretty well had an exceptioanlly good day. One guy got two turkeys with a spare in the middle.

I've been hitting the carbs a little.

Everyone prebowled so I was left to face the team alone and it's the team with the wicked hooks. I bowled a 95, 151, and a 98. Averaging out to about 114. We ended up wining 2 games and getting most pins, 6 and 2!

Ren Fest and Bowling

Went to Ren Fest with cressida42 and her Aunt. I had my turkey leg and and some turkey jerky. We watched three shows. Two of them seemed to making the audience repeatedly yell and gay prison jokes. And they were considered PG material. I expected bawdy jokes but I would have appreciated a little substance to the jokes rather then the performers hitting on the same guy thru out the program.

Yesterday was a league night as well. I used a house ball and got 123,132,114. We ended up winning two games and got most pins by 11 pins.

We spent today sleeping in and clearing up the DVR

There was a chili cook off at work today as a fund raiser. I made a pot of The Three Bean Devil. There were eleven people competeing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place and a drawing for a gift card just for participating. I didn't win anything. I was amused by the idea of bragging about being 3rd. All the winners got the same cheesey plastic statue. At least I got lunch for the next week.

I'd like to think that it had nothing to do with my chili being Vegan.

I walked out of mt coffee shop this morning on the way to work. I noticed a large orange cat on the side walk staring at something. I looked over at what it was looking at and saw a black chicken stand on the edge of the street, in south Minneapolis. I took a picture of it as it crossed the road but I didn't ask why.

When I mentioned it later on the bus someone said that there are a number of people in south Minneapolis who have chicken coops. I did not know that.
