The Blood mobile is at work today and I was scheduled to donate with ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) cressida42 again. I got rejected again. This time it was because of the incident with my heart five weeks ago. It embarrassing walking out of the van five minutes after I walked in. |

I went back to the hospital for a check up on my heart after two weeks on the blood pressure meds. My pressure is still boarder line hypertensive. They want to add a beta blocker on top of my ace inhibitor. This is the blood pressure stuff that is suppose to help my heart heal up after the last event. The beta blocker is suppose to lower my heart rate a little as well. I'll have to where my heart monitor in a couple of days and see what happens.
I have another echo cardiogram scheduled in a couple of months and hopefully I won't have to take the blood pressure any more. It sound like I'm stuck with the Zocor, that's the one for cholesterol.
It sounds like I've been afflicted with the family curse. Both my parents had hypertension. I think a couple of my siblings are dealing with blood pressure issues too.
I don't think this will affect my ability to take the walk. We'll see.

Part of health week at work includes free blood pressure test and Body fat index test.
It turns out I'm pre-Hypertensive and 24% body fat. I would bet the Pre-hypertensiveness has to do with saturdays little trip to the ER. I'm sure the body fat index has to do with eating too much. I was hoping they had a scale on hand I think mine is a little off.
Aye be a bloated cod fish! Arrrgh. |
