| Ask me about this can. |
[Jul. 9th, 2007|10:03 pm] |
I'll go into my CONvergence post later but I have to talk about the can and Tribbles.
For the course of the convention I carried around a tin can with a sign on it that said "Ask me about this can". When asked about it I went into my breast cancer 3-day shpeal. On top of that the bridge was selling the tribbles they had made for props and the proceeds went to my account. I will get an official count tomorrow from the bank but the last count we made in the room totaled.
477.73!
I'm overwhelmed at the generosity of the sci fi fantasy community. Everyone has be great about the whole campaign. I am eternally grateful.

So, if you're in the area (or even if you're not), swing on by 216 Territorial Rd NE, Blaine, MN this Friday - Sunday 9am-3pm to meet some of the team and maybe just find that perfect Father's Day gift.

| One week five days left... |
[May. 16th, 2007|03:41 pm] |
Finally, at 7:37 early Wednesday evening as the sun was setting in the Minnesota sky Out in the distance, on the horizon, it appeared to me like a vision before my unbelieving eye I parked the car and walked with awe-filled reverence towards that glorius huge majestic sphere I was just so overwhelmed by its sheer imensity, I had to pop myself a beer Yes, on these hallowed grounds, open ten to eight on weekdays, in a little shrine under a make-shift pagoda, There sits the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota I tell you, it's the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota |

| Team Boobylicious Trivia Challange II |
[May. 2nd, 2007|03:24 pm] |
The Boobylicious team trivia challange was even more of a blast then last time. I don't think there was as many poeple as last time but we raised in even more cash then last time. Several people who won cash prizes donated them to the team. How cool is that. Besides the trivia and heads and tails we sold little buttons that said I (heart) boobs. We had them pinned to our shirts and walked around the room selling them. I sold more then I thought considering I'm the one team member without a pair.
The Flip Cup Tournament is on May 19th and should be even more of a blast. I expect to see even more people there and we should really raise a lot with that one.
Now I get to use all kinds of beer and drinking quotes. |

I was looking for an answer. It's the question, Neo. It's the question that drives us. It's the question that brought you here. You know the question, just as I did. Neo: What is the Matrix? Trinity: The answer is out there, Neo, and it's looking for you, and it will find you if you want it to. |

Deckard: She's a replicant, isn't she? Tyrell: I'm impressed. How many questions does it usually take to spot them? Deckard: I don't get it Tyrell. Tyrell: How many questions? Deckard: Twenty, thirty, cross-referenced. Tyrell: It took more than a hundred for Rachael, didn't it? Deckard: She doesn't know. Tyrell: She's beginning to suspect, I think. Deckard: Suspect? How can it not know what it is? |

I know some of my friends out there are strapped for cash. I'm not trying to guilt anyone into offering money they don't have. I'm just posting the links a lot as a reminder and an opportunity.
At least you get a laugh out of the movie quote pledge post. |
